Rich in Possibility: ending child poverty in Scotland

With the launch of the Scottish Government’s first Child Poverty Strategy comes the opportunity to make positive change in the life of every child in Scotland. This seminar will debate the realities of child poverty in Scotland, examine the Child Poverty Strategy and look at practical ways to make a long-lasting difference in a local context. Delegates will have the chance to contribute to the discussion and inform future work to eradicate child poverty.
Join Children in Scotland for:
- an overview of the new Child Poverty Strategy in the context of the wider policy and delivery landscape
- discussion of barriers which prevent people moving out of poverty and a focused look at the key drivers for supporting change
- an examination of what child poverty means for you in your work
- practical examples of how best to support families allowing them access to information and services
- ways to support young people in maximising their educational attainment.
