Connections to Nature

Families Outside invite you to join us for our Connections to Nature Peer Support Sessions. These sessions will be delivered on Zoom by our Group Work Peer Support team and will include activities such as making an elder bracelet, making bath salts and growing tea to enjoy with the group.

The four, 90 minute sessions will run on;

  • Session 1 – Planting – Wednesday 20/10/21 – 6 – 7.30pm
  • Session 2 – Germinating – Wednesday 27/10/21 – 6 – 7.30pm
  • Session 3 – Nurturing – Wednesday 03/11/21 – 6 – 7.30pm
  • Session 4 – Harvesting – Wednesday 10/11/21 – 6-7.30pm

The aim of these sessions is to improve our wellbeing by developing connections to nature. There is no need to have any prior knowledge about nature, you do not need to have access to a garden or green space, all materials will be posted to you so you can join from home. All you will need is the time to join us, a device such as a phone, tablet or laptop and an internet connection. If you are unsure about how to log on to a Zoom, we will help you with that, so you can attend. We would encourage you to leave your camera on for the sessions so we can all see each other, but if you prefer not to, that is ok too!
