Covid-19 -Families Outside Update

As with all organisations, Covid-19 has presented Families Outside with a number of challenges. We hope that everyone manages to cope with this crisis in the best way possible.  At Families Outside, we are facing the challenge of maintaining support for families at a time of increasing difficulties; this remains a priority, whilst also ensuring the health and well-being of our staff.

We would like to reassure partners, funders, volunteers, students, staff, and of course, the families, children, and young people we are currently supporting, that we are tackling these challenges and putting in place measures in line with Government and NHS Guidance and advice.

Much of our work is done on an outreach basis (face-to-face with families, children and YP; group work in local areas), and whilst our staff who are currently supporting families can be contacted in the usual way, we are following guidance to avoid social contact and travel. Outreach work therefore has been suspended, with support being offered remotely via telephone and video links.

Our Helpline (0800 254 0088) remains open to families and professionals, and we will continue to support those who contact us via the usual channels including email at support@familiesoutside.org.uk for support, or admin@familiesoutside.org.uk for general contact and enquiries.

We will address any new developments as they arise, and this information will be updated on a regular basis. We very much appreciate your understanding at this time. We also thank all our staff, partners, funders, and families for their support and patience and we wish everyone good health at this time.
