Visiting the Prison

Free parking is available for visitors at the prison.

Visitor Centre Information

HMP Low Moss has a Visitors’ Centre operated by Early Years Scotland.

Due to the Coronavirus staff are all working remotely and can be contacted by phone  during these times:

Family centre opening hours:

Mon –10 .30am-6pm
Tues – 10.30am-6pm,
Wed – 1pm- 5pm
Thurs -10.30am-6pm
Sunday 1pm-5pm

The Visitors’ Centre is located just beyond the security processes for entering the prison, and visitors will need to complete security checks before accessing the centre.

In normal circumstances the Visitors’ Centre provides:

  • Hot drinks
  • Light refreshments
  • Toilets and baby changing facilities
  • Children’s play area
  • Information, support, and advice
  • School holiday activities
