It’s No Holiday – updated and online

Our It’s No Holiday film was created in 2006 to help and support teenagers who may be affected by imprisonment of a family member.

About young people’s experiences of having a family member sent to prison, the film is an awareness raising and training resource which can be used with a range of audiences, form social work to school teachers, from police to lawyers.  We hope that the film will encourage agencies to take action and, where necessary, improve their response to young people affected by imprisonment.

Originally a DVD, this has now been adapted to be a web based e-learning resource, cutting out the need for discs and becoming easily downloadable from the web at the Families Outside Vimeo account

A postcard for the film is also available.  Please contact us for copies of this.

View and share this free awareness-raising video, which features the voices of real young people talking about their experiences of having a family member in prison.
