Recruiting Now – 5 New Posts

Families Outside is the only national organisation that works solely on behalf of children and families affected by imprisonment in Scotland. The Social Economy Growth Fund has allowed us to create five new posts to support this important work.  All contracts run through the end of March 2020 with scope for renewal, funds permitting.

Volunteer Manager

  • 35 hours per week
  • Starting salary £30,642
  • Based in Edinburgh but with travel required, you will develop, coordinate, and support the work of volunteers and peer supporters for Families Outside throughout Scotland.

Group Work & Peer Support Manager

  • 28 hours per week (with intent to extend to 35 hours, funds permitting)
  • Starting salary £30,642 pro rata
  • Based in Glasgow on the ‘My Time’ model of peer support, you will develop, coordinate, and facilitate peer group work with children, young people, and adults affected by imprisonment.

  • 35 hours per week

  • Based in Edinburgh, you will provide comprehensive information and support to families affected by imprisonment and the professionals who work with them.

Regional Family Support Coordinator, Lanarkshire

  • 35 hours per week
  • Starting salary £26,435 pro rata
  • Based in Hamilton/Wishaw, you will provide direct information and support to families affected by imprisonment and the professionals who work with them, liaising with prisons and other regional organisations to train and promote awareness of issues and services for these families.
